My In Laws hosted a reception at the Senator Hotel in Kolkata.  Because none of us live there, they only selected the venue and menu, everything else was up to the hotel.  Apparently, venues are hard to find in Kolkata.  The Senator offered standard North Indian food in a newly redone reception hall.

A family friend had my (Benarasi) sari designed and made.  My husband bought his kurta pajama at the last minute from Fab India in Kolkata.  Fab India is a good place for emergency shopping.
